Professional Musician

I have been a professional musician for over 25 years, playing in bands in the UK as well as in the United States. I have toured in the UK, Ireland, Europe and the US with numerous bands, and have spent periods of time being a studio musician.

For my solo performances, I predominantly play violin and cello in a wide variety of styles, from classical to folk to modern pop music.

I also play in numerous bands and ensembles around the San Francisco Bay Area. Here are some of my regular bands:

FAST AND VENGEFULLY

FAST AND VENGEFULLY is a high-energy, Bay Area-based band that plays traditional and modern Irish tunes. We play pubs, picnics, microbreweries, events, and more. We have been playing together for over five years and have developed a large repertoire of music that we can play.

BEAUTIFUL DUETS is an ensemble I have formed with guitarist Gregg Duggar. We regularly perform at weddings, parties, events, and even funerals.

THE MINSTRELS

THE MINSTRELS are a low-key folk band I formed with Jon Catalona and Scott Donaldson. We combine our various styles to playing everything from jigs and reels to party favorites as well as traditional folk music.

We regularly play outside the Berkeley Hat Company on Telegraph Avenue and have performed at the Berkeley World Music Festival.

I also am regularly hired to perform at various events including weddings, funerals, birthday parties, formal dinners, cocktail receptions and more.

Each year, I play for the Alameda County Family Justice Center’s Day of Remembrance to mark those who have been killed or injured as a result of interpersonal violence.
